“In every challenge there is opportunity”. This quote is often attributed to Winston Churchill, the British Prime Minister, who stared Nazi Germany in the face and did not stand down until Britain was free. One can only imagine the difficult challenges that lay ahead of him as he sought to defend his country. But even as he did, he still felt there was opportunity to be found in that challenging time, and find it he did!
Fast forward to 2020 in South Florida, and the COVID-19 quarantine. This new threat forced us to change the way we live and challenged many people in their day to day lives. Many businesses did not make it. We shared those that did not in an article entitle 20 Restaurants that Closed During the Pandemic. Despite the fact that many closed, others opened. They faced the challenge of COVID-19 in the face, much like Churchill did with Nazi Germany, and they won.
So who are these winners? Have a look at the list below of 13 businesses that beat the odds and opened their doors during the quarantine.
